Jackie Hams, an oceanography, environmental science, and physical geology professor at Los Angeles Valley College in Valley Glen, CA was aboard the R/V Revelle for 36 days in November and December while scientists conducted a study called DYNAMO to study the dynamics of the Madden-Julian Oscillation in the Indian Ocean.
