Caroline Singler, a science teacher at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in Sudbury, MA, was aboard U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Healy for 5 weeks in August and September while scientists conducted hydrographic surveys of the Arctic continental shelf, an area in the Arctic Ocean north of Alaska. This is a joint mission between the U.S. and Canada in conjunction with many support partners. You can read more about this important scientific work by visiting these websites:
