Beth Lancaster
|
Beth Lancaster, a high school biology teacher from Connecticut, was aboard NOAA Ship McARTHUR II for eight days in April while scientists conduct research in Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Also of note, Beth led a team of students from Naugatuck High School that won a regional NOAA ship naming contest. The team wrote the winning essay that supported their selection of the name FERDINAND R. HASSLER for NOAA’s new coastal mapping vessel now under construction in Mississippi.
