Dave Grant, a college professor from New Jersey, was aboard NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown for 33 days in November and December while scientists conducted climate research in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Chile. Specifically, this ongoing study, called VOCALS, is an international field experiment designed to better understand the physical and chemical processes of the Southeast Pacific climate system.
