Alex Eilers, an educator at Memphis, Tennessee's Pink Palace Museum, sailed aboard NOAA Ship David Starr Jordan for 15 days in August and September while scientists conducted leatherback turtle research in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California. Specifically, this study is called the LUTH survey, Leatherback Use of Temperate Habitat.
