Miriam Hlawatsch

NOAA Teacher at Sea, Miriam Hlawatsch, dons her survival suit on board NOAA Ship NANCY FOSTER.

Miriam Hlawatsch, an elementary school teacher from New Jersey, was aboard NOAA Ship NANCY FOSTER for 12 days in July and August while scientists conducted surveys of an invasive species, the lionfish, in Atlantic waters off the coast of North Carolina.
